The National Transport Authority (NTA) has responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including Next Generation Ticketing and, in collaboration with Iarnród Éireann, the National Train Control Centre.

Noting the NTA's responsibility in the matter, I have referred the Deputy's question to the NTA for a direct, detailed reply. Please contact my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten days.

I have also referred the question to TII for direct reply. If the Deputy has not heard from them within 10 working days please contact my office directly.

A referred reply was forwarded to the Deputy under Standing Orders.
