138. Deputy Louis O'Hara asked the Minister for Education and Youth to provide an update on the County Galway school building projects prioritised in the NDP Sectoral Investment Plan published by her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [40154/26]

Since 2020, the Department of Education has provided €264.25 million in capital funding for Galway schools. Over this period, a total of 89 schools have been upgraded either through provision of a new school building, a large-scale extension or provision of modular accommodation.

There were 10 school building projects in County Galway prioritised in the NDP Sectoral Investment Plan to go to Tender/Construction over the course of 2026 and 2027.

Of these 10 projects, 2 projects are currently onsite (Stage 4), 4 are at Tender stage (Stage 3) , 4 projects are at Detailed Design stage ( Stage 2B/Stage 2).
