The school referred to by the deputy was approved to enter my Department’s pipeline of school buildings under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme for a project providing 2 Special Education Tuition Rooms and ancillary. The project is devolved to the school authority for delivery.

I can confirm that the combined Stage 1/2a report was submitted to my Department in Quarter 1 of 2026. Following review, a number of issues were identified, including matters relating to scope, design, costing and supporting documentation. These have been formally referred back to the school and its design team for clarification and revision, and it is now a matter for the school to address the observations raised.
