My Department does not have a mechanism in place to accurately determine whether a Parliamentary Question has been generated using AI.

The time and effort required to respond to individual questions depends on several factors including the complexity and urgency of the issues raised, the ease of access to the required information, the level of input required from the Defence Forces and the degree of cross-departmental coordination required in preparing the reply.  It is therefore not possible to provide an accurate estimate of the average cost associated with answering a Parliamentary Question.
