My department engages in comprehensive workforce planning and workload management processes, based on forecasted demand for passports. Due to this ongoing monitoring of passport applications and proactive management of resources, the Passport Service is in an excellent position to meet forecasted demand for 2026.

The estimated cost associated with increasing staffing levels in the Passport Service by 10, 50 or 100 full time equivalent staff at Clerical Officer level is shown in tabular form below.
