The estimated cost of increasing the child support payment for children 12 years and over by €5, from €78 to €83, is €29.9 million. This estimate includes full rate and half rate child support payments.
It should be noted that this costing is subject to change in the context of emerging trends and the associated revision of the estimated numbers of recipients for 2026.
I trust this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
