Foras na Gaeilge has allocated €1,676,857 to the Irish Language Network Development Scheme, Scéim Forbartha Líonraí Gaeilge, for 2026.

The Government of Ireland provides 75% of the Foras na Gaeilge budget annually, with the remaining 25% coming from the Northern Ireland Executive, in accordance with the funding ratios agreed when the North-South Language Body was established. The cost of doubling the allocation for the scheme would be split as follows:

75%: €1,257,643

25%: €419,214
