62. Deputy John Paul O'Shea asked the Minister for Social Protection for a breakdown of all persons currently on jobseeker's allowance, per Intreo area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45903/26]

Jobseeker’s Allowance is a means-tested payment for people who are unemployed and meet the qualifying conditions. In May 2026, there were 105,601 people in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance. A breakdown of these claims by county geography is set out in the table below.

The Department does not maintain Jobseeker’s Allowance statistics by Intreo centre area, as Intreo catchments do not correspond directly to the statistical units used for reporting. The closest available geographical data is the Live Register, which is published monthly by the Central Statistics Office and provides figures for the total Live Register by local office at https://data.cso.ie/table/LRM07.
