I am aware that there were protests around the recent G7 Summit hosted by France near the border with Switzerland.

We know that Switzerland shares this approach and is committed to respecting human rights, including the freedom of expression and the freedom of assembly and defending the right to engage in peaceful protest. It has a long tradition as an international leader in upholding human rights law and continues to play an active role in promoting, protecting, and implementing human rights globally.
