Written answers

Data on the nationality of academic teaching staff is not collected by my Department or the Higher Education Authority.

Higher education institutions are autonomous bodies with responsibility for their own recruitment practices. Appointments are made in line with publicly funded sector principles, including merit-based, transparent, and equality-focused recruitment processes, and in accordance with relevant employment legislation.
