373. Deputy Martin Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the breakdown of the number of farmers herd and flock sizes under schemes (details supplied). [48438/26]

Table 1 below sets out the total number of eligible participants and the average Max Payable Area as of June 2026 for the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme (SCEP)

Multiplying the Max Payable Area by 1.5 gives you the average SCEP reference number which is 25 suckler cows.

Table 2 below sets out the total amount of eligible participants and the average flock size as of June 2026 for the CSP Sheep Improvement Scheme (SIS) and the 2026 National Sheep Welfare Scheme (NSWS)

The 2026 Beef Welfare Scheme has not yet opened so the figures for the 2025 Beef Welfare Scheme are as follows; 24,525 applications were received and the average number of calves applied for was 19.
