The school to which the deputy refers was approved to enter the department’s pipeline of school buildings under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme for the provision of a two-classroom special educational needs base. The project is devolved to the school authority for delivery.

I can confirm the project was approved to planning. The delivery of this project is now with the school authority, and their contracted design team, to prepare and submit a stage 2B report (detailed design).

Once submitted to the department, a review of the stage 2b report will be carried out. Progression to the next stage is dependent on the outcome of this assessment and the project’s alignment with the prioritisation framework under the National Development Plan.
