I can confirm to the Deputy, that schools can apply under my department's Additional School Accommodation (ASA) scheme for capital funding to convert rooms for dedicated resource or support rooms.

However, it is important to note that my department is required to manage its allocated capital funding across all schools in the country and the priority is to cater for Special education classrooms and demographic led mainstream classrooms in the first instance. Applications outside of this will be considered in the context of available capital funding. It is also open to schools to use their allocated minor works, in the case of primary schools, to fund small scale projects such as this.

Any applications submitted by schools for this purpose will be considered by my officials and a decision will issue to the school authorities as soon as possible.
