Written answers

Of those in receipt of a Jobseeker's payment, including Jobseeker's Allowance, Jobseeker's Benefit, or Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit, as of 30 June 2026, there were 32,861 recipients who had been in receipt of a Jobseeker's payment for 10 years or more in aggregate over their lifetime.

Expenditure is recorded at the scheme level, not the individual level, and it is not possible to accurately attribute expenditure to individual level characteristics such as claim durations.
