Dáil Éireann Debate, Tuesday - 14 July 2026
931. Deputy Seán Kyne asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to provide details of all grant schemes currently available through his Department for which individuals or community groups are eligible to apply; the purpose of each grant scheme; the eligibility criteria; the application process; the opening and closing dates for application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [53418/26]
View answerMy department does not directly administer grant schemes for individuals or community groups. Funding is provided through a number of bodies and programmes under the Department's remit, such as the Higher Education Authority, SOLAS and SUSI. The Department also works with The Wheel in providing training and support for the charity and community sector.
At the link below is a list of the various grant schemes and programmes funded by my department, and available to individual learners and community groups. As responsibility for the administration of these funds and programmes, including eligibility criteria, application processes and funding calls where applicable, rests with the relevant bodies, the detailed information sought by the Deputy can be obtained directly from those organisations.
Contact details for DFHERIS aegis bodies are set out at the link below should the Deputy was to contact these bodies directly.
