Minister of State at the Department of Transport

As Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail & Ports, I wish to advise that there are no plans to introduce a private utility vehicle tax class at present.

Motor taxation rates are set by the Minister of Finance and any changes to rates would be a matter for consideration by that Department as part of Budget 2027 preparations.
