View answerThe premises in Killorglin is currently used extensively by the Defence Forces as a headquarters for military exercises, tactical training and to aid both the Civil Power and Civil Authority activities in the area. My Department has engaged with the National Ambulance Service (NAS) on this matter and have discussed a number of options, including the potential to place a modular building, for the use of the NAS, to the rear of the Defence Forces building.
The Defence Forces have considered options for accommodating the NAS at the site and I understand have some concerns regarding same and to that end my Department will engage with the NAS with a view to addressing all concerns.
