Climate action is an important element of Ireland’s international development and foreign policies. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade supports the implementation of Ireland’s climate and energy policies, including Ireland’s Climate Action Plans, led by the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment. The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has no actions under its remit in the Climate Action Plan 2025. The table below covers actions under the Department's remit in each of the remaining Climate Action Plans in the 2021- 2025 period (2021, 2023, and 2024).
