Deputy Pádraig Rice asked the Minister for Health further to Parliamentary Question No. 461 of 2 July 2026, if a patient who was receiving blister packs free-of-charge prior to the Community Pharmacy Agreement 2025 changes pharmacists, if this patient is still entitled to receive this service free-of-charge (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. In the previous reply to PQ 50457/26 of 2 July 2026 (Dáil Question Number 461), I confirmed that all GMS (medical card) patients who were receiving phased dispensing or blister packs free-of-charge prior to the Community Pharmacy Agreement 2025  (in August 2025) can continue to do so.

This applies even if the patient changes pharmacies, provided that all other requirements are also met.
