791. Deputy Barry Ward asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance the engagement he has had with a group (details supplied), in relation to their campaign to amend inheritance tax parameters; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [62454/26]

Tánaiste and Minister for Finance

Both myself and my officials have met with the 'End Discrimination in Inheritance Tax' group and am aware of their position and proposals.

As the Deputy will be aware, it is a longstanding practice of the Minister for Finance not to comment, in advance of the Budget, on any tax matters that might be the subject of Budget decisions.
