349. Deputy Mark Ward asked the Minister for Transport if incidents of fainting on public transport are recorded; if so, the number of people who have fainted on public transport and details; if he is aware of commuters fainting on the morning Iarnród Éireann commuter rail service from Clondalkin & Fonthill to Dublin Connolly; the steps that are being taken to increase capacity on this line; and if he will outline the safe capacity level for carriages. As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
