Deputy David Cullinane asked the Minister for Health the number of assaults recorded against healthcare workers and patients for the period 1 January to 31 August in each of the years 2022 to 2026, nationally, by HSE Health Region and by facility where available, broken down by incident type including physical, verbal and sexual assault, and by reported level of harm; the number of staff working days lost following assault; the number of incidents referred to An Garda Síochána; and the number resulting in prosecution where known, in tabular form.
