248. Deputy Sinéad Gibney asked the Minister for Transport his Department’s policy on consultation with the National Monuments Service and The Heritage Council, with regards to protected sites located close to proposed development of bus layover infrastructure. [68116/26]

Minister for Transport

As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including bus infrastructure.
