Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation further to Parliamentary Question No. 65398/26 of 16 September 2026, the allocation and provisional expenditure to the end of August 2026 in respect of Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, broken down by Vote, in tabular form. The Revised Estimates 2026, published in December 2025, allocated €0.3 billion by Vote for costs relating to Ireland’s hosting of the EU Presidency in second half of 2026.

To the end of August, based on provisional spending return figures reported by Departments, €0.075 billion has been spent. Expenditure Returns from each Department for costs associated with the EU presidency are set out in the table below in euro millions.
