Deputy Erin McGreehan asked the Minister for Health the amount of the €30 million allocated in Budget 2026 for new and innovative medicines that has been spent to date; the number and names of medicines approved for reimbursement using this allocation; the number of patients who have benefited; the amount remaining unspent; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for decisions on the pricing and reimbursement of medicines; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
