Deputy James O'Connor asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation if he will update this Deputy on the status of the Midleton flood protection scheme; if he will outline the current position regarding his Departments timeframe for the planning application submitted for the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Midleton Flood Relief Scheme is being designed to protect up to 750 properties, and all those properties impacted by Storm Babet.

The OPW has contacted the leading authority, Cork County Council, for an update and will respond directly to the Deputy on this matter.
