Presidential pardons are governed by Article 13.6 of Bunreacht na hÉireann. The power of pardon for a conviction or punishment imposed by a court of criminal jurisdiction is vested in the President.

While my Department has received correspondence regarding the matter, no application for a presidential pardon for the Catalpa Six has been received.
