Capita Business Support Services Ireland, trading as Eircode, assigns Eircodes to new property addresses using a valid postal address and verified geo-locations. An Post collects information on all new and existing buildings, as well as changes to existing addresses and Tailte Éireann (formerly Ordnance Survey Ireland) provides the geo-locations for these buildings. An Post GeoDirectory (APG), a subsidiary company of An Post and Tailte Éireann, issue a new release of database files monthly to Capita in accordance with their revised licence agreement.

Tailte Éireann have confirmed that the property has a verified geo-location. An Post have confirmed to my officials that the property in question was previously designated as derelict and as per their data processes An Post will update their database to include this property, and the updated information will be included in the next update of the database files supplied to Capita from APG in April.

Capita have advised my officials that they will continue direct contact with the individual in question and will continue to monitor the case, reverting to them with updates as soon as further information is available.
