View answerMy Departments Corporate Services Division works closely with highly skilled and experienced web development companies that build our websites in line with established accessibility best practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), in order to meet the requirements of the EU Web Accessibility Directive. From the outset of a website development project, accessibility is considered in design, structure, and functionality—such as ensuring clear content hierarchy, sufficient colour contrast, responsive layouts, and compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. Following the completion of a website development project, an independent accessibility monitoring and reporting company is also engaged to carry out an accessibility review to identify any remaining potential issues, and to produce clear, actionable reports. Any findings are assessed and addressed as part of our ongoing website maintenance and improvement process.
