View answerAll legal costs for my Department are included within the published Appropriation Accounts, under 6.1 within Vote 45. Please find the link below: www.audit.gov.ie/en/publications/appropriation%20accounts/ The 2025 Accounts are currently being collated for submission to the Office of the Comptroller General before the 31st March 2026. Where litigation arises, the Department does not engage lawyers to act and does not incur legal fees directly. The CSSO generally bears the costs of the Department in defending litigation and any legal fees arising are not managed by the Department.
