Written answers

Under EU Regulation 2019/6, matters pertaining to retail of Veterinary Medicinal Products (VMPs) are left to the discretion of national authorities. The national regulations governing retail are the Veterinary Medicinal Products Regulations 2014 S.I. 462/2024. A licensed retailer may only sell the products that they are licensed to sell and a purchaser must meet the conditions of possession and use set out in their own jurisdiction.
