The information requested by the Deputy in respect of my Department is set out in the table at the link below due to the volume of information. In accordance with Section 13(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2014, an FOI body should issue a decision to the requester within 20 working days of receipt of an FOI request. However, Section 14(1) of the Act makes provision for the extension of time for consideration of FOI requests of up to 20 working days. The grounds for such an extension are, if in the opinion of the head of an FOI body, the request is voluminous or there are multiple FOI requests related to the same or similar records, making compliance within the original timeframe not reasonably possible. Decision deadlines may also be revised if the requester revises their FOI request or due to the request being paused while the FOI body awaits payment of a fee from the requester, as per Section 27(5)(c) of the Act.
