395. Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the current status of the new equine slaughter facility; and the proposed opening date. [31795/26]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine

Three Notifications of Intent have been submitted to operate as an equine slaughter premises, one of which has passed this initial stage. The next stage is the submission of a formal application. The applicant is currently engaging with the relevant Departments/Agencies to progress to the application stage.
