My Department is providing an income support scheme worth €100 million to assist farmers, farm and forestry contractors, and fishers, the details of which will be announced next week when the scheme opens for applications from farmers and farm/forestry contractors. A scheme administered through BIM will open shortly after for fishers.

Regarding farm/forestry contractors specifically, the scheme will operate on the basis of providing an income support related to historical use of marked gas oil in primary agricultural production on farms only.
