I am on the record as condemning the violent repression, killing, injury and imprisonment of protesters by the Iranian authorities. I have repeatedly called for the Iranian regime to halt its brutal violence and repression against its own people, to release protesters who have been imprisoned, and to respect and uphold the fundamental rights of all Iranians, including minorities. This includes the right to freedom of opinion and assembly. I reiterate this call and will continue to do so.

The commission of genocide is a matter of law, which would be for a court or judicial body to determine.
