Referred to CSO for answer

The Central Statistics Office (CSO) receives a quarterly data extract from the Garda PULSE system for the purpose of publishing official crime statistics. Recorded crime statistics are published by the CSO according to the Irish Crime Classification System (ICCS).

An Garda Síochána compiles crime data according to the Garda station that the crime is reported or assigned to and this is then aggregated up to Garda Division and Region level. Therefore, the lowest geographic level of data available is at Garda station level.

The CSO publishes quarterly recorded crime data by ICCS offence group at Garda Division and Region level with the most recent Recorded Crime publication (Q4 2025) providing data up to the end of 2025.

The CSO also publishes recorded crime at Garda station level, but due to the small numbers involved in some crime categories, this is published annually. Data for Garda stations is available on the CSO website up to the end of 2025. The annual Garda station level data excludes crimes relating to Homicide & Related offences and Sexual offences due to the small numbers involved and the need to protect the identity of victims of crime incidents of Sexual offences.
