View answerUnder the Road Safety Authority Act 2006, the Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for the National Driver Testing Service, including all testing and scheduling matters. Neither I nor my Department hold information on, nor have the have the power to intervene in, individual cases.
I would advise the person to engage with the RSA directly in relation to this matter. Additionally the driver testing booking system allows for any unused test slots to be made available for candidates to take up at short notice. I encourage learner drivers awaiting a test to monitor this channel, as it may provide an opportunity to secure an earlier test date.
