While my Department endeavours to utilise in-house expertise where possible for all projects, there are certain types of projects which require the use of external support services. For instance, the Life Events Project which aims to identify opportunities to maximise use of Government digital assets in life events is one of these occurrences (provided for below in 2025 and 2024 spend). It is envisaged that this will provide a future benefit to the public and progresses opportunities for digital usage across government.
In this overall context, I wish to advise the Deputy of the total cost of engagement with Deloitte between 2020 and 2025 by project, year and value is set out in the table below (all figures are inclusive of Professional Services Withholding Tax which is paid directly to the Revenue Commissioners).
