As Minister of State for International & Road Transport, Logistics, Rail & Ports, I wish to advise that the day-to-day operation of clamping vehicles on public roads or in public car parks is a matter for local authorities and the clamping of vehicles in private car parks is a matter for the car park owner. My Department has no plans to change clamping rules or legislation.
