The Office of Public Works has undertaken a range of general refurbishment and conservation works at Ennis Friary over the period requested in addition to normal, routine maintenance. The works carried out are set out below.

2024

Electrical repair work at Ennis Friary

Plumbing repairs

Tree care

Installation of security cameras

Surveys of building

2025

Purchase and Installation of new guide welfare unit /office

Electrical works in new guide office and office fit-out

Cleaning of tower and roofs of Friary

Plumbing works

2026

Feasibility report and supply of new signage at Ennis Friary

Archaeological monitoring

Working with Clare Co Co, the OPW is considering design options for the adjacent former public house building known as The Cloister
