Deputy Ken O'Flynn asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration the criteria, metrics and timeline by which his Department will review the operation of the flat fee model for criminal legal aid in the District Court; whether the review will monitor the number of solicitors on the Criminal Legal Aid Panel and the number of cases adjourned due to accused persons being unable to obtain representation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
