I am aware of reports of arrests targeting LGBTQ+ activists and organisations in Turkey. Ireland strongly supports the rights of LGBTQI+ persons. The Government will continue to raise human rights concerns, including LGBTQI+ rights, through appropriate channels, and will use the Presidency of the Council of the European Union to highlight the importance of advancing LGBTIQ+ rights across the EU.
