The applications referred to by the Deputy have been refused, and the individuals concerned have been issued with a Notification of Intention to Deport under section 3 of the Immigration Act 1999, as amended.

On 10 September 2026 a letter issued notifying them of the intention to make a deportation order against them. The notification advised the individuals concerned of the options available to them and that any representations should be submitted within 15 working days.

Further information regarding the section 3 process is available on the Immigration Service website: www.irishimmigration.ie/my-situation-has-changed-since-i-arrived-in-ireland/repatriation-division/

As an Oireachtas member, you can also request the status of individual immigration cases by e-mail, using the Oireachtas Mail facility at: IMoireachtasmail@justice.ie, which has been specifically established for this purpose.
