Newly elected Members become entitled to stationery and postal resources once they have signed the Roll.
Printing consumables
Stocks of stationery and consumables are available from the stationery stores in the 1932 Annex, Leinster House.
Annual monetary limits are in place for the drawdown of printer toner cartridges from stationery stores. The current limit is €2,000 per annum. All entitlements cease upon the dissolution of the Dáil.
Printing facilities
Each Member is entitled to printing services from a centralised printing facility based in Kildare House.
Prepaid envelopes
Each Member of Dáil Éireann is entitled to 625 prepaid DL (one-third A4) sized envelopes each month. Envelopes are available in the envelope store in the basement of LH2000.
Each monthly allocation must be collected during that month and allocations may not be carried over to subsequent months. Only a Deputy or a nominated member of his or her staff may collect envelopes. Arrangements for a nominated staff member to collect envelopes must be made in writing.
Postal entitlements are available to newly elected Members on signing the Roll of Members but cease on dissolution of Dáil Éireann. Any postal charges that are over and above the prepaid amount must be paid by the Member at the time of posting.
Parliamentary porters
A porter service is available for moving stationery items to and from Members' offices and cars, the envelope store and the stationery stores. The service is available from 9.15 a.m. until end of business on sitting days and until 5.30 p.m. on non-sitting days.
