I wish to advise that the legal advice referred to by the Deputy was initially sought by my Department on 24 September 2002. Since then the matter is being progressed through ongoing correspondence and discussions between officials from my Department and officials from the Office of the Attorney General and the Office of the Chief State Solicitor in the matter.
