Ceist:583. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Social Protection the status of a carer's allowance for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [41701/16]

The person concerned is in receipt of Carer’s Allowance (CA) since 14 November 2013.
Periodically entitlement to the allowance is reviewed to ensure that the conditions for receipt are still satisfied and a review commenced in this case in August 2016.
The outcome is that it was decided that the care recipient still requires full-time care and attention. Accordingly payment of CA will continue.
The person concerned was notified of these details on 16 December 2016.
