134. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Transport if contracts have been signed by both parties in respect of a new coast guard building in Howth; and if not, when his Department expects construction work on this project to commence. [25106/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraMy Department has been working closely with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine over the past number of months to formalise lease arrangements on a number of Coast Guard buildings located within Fishery Harbour Centres.
Formalising the lease arrangement in Howth has been a priority, in particular, so that the requirements of the unit can be formally reviewed with a view to extending the current facility at that location.
The lease is currently being finalised with the CSSO.
