181. Deputy Sean Sherlock asked the Minister for Transport the amount spent to date on a project (details supplied), including all payments to contractors and consultants, from the year 2020 to 1 July 2024, in tabular form. [28989/24]
Amharc ar fhreagraAs the Deputy may be aware, the proposal for the Northern Distributor Road was established in the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy. It is intended that the Northern Distributor Road will include both traffic and bus lanes as well as cycling and pedestrian facilities.
The expenditure from 2020 to end-June in relation to the Cork Northern Distributor project is in the table below.

As Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport. The National Transport Authority (NTA) has responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including the Cork Northern Distributor project.
