Deputy Steven Matthews asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the position regarding the actions she will take to implement the recommendations of the report titled 'The Development of Local and Community Arts' published by the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Amharc ar fhreagraI welcome the Joint Oireachtas Committees report on 'The Development of Local and Community Arts' which was recently published.
My Department officials are currently reviewing the 16 recommendations raised in the report, with various elements being discussed as part of the ongoing budget estimates process.
I sincerely thank the committee members for the time and effort they put into compiling this report and also thank the broad range of stakeholders who contributed through submissions and public engagement.
