As the Deputy is aware, climate change is a global issue. Any assessment on impacts on agriculture requires modelling at the global scale, in the context of both climate processes and the economic impacts of climate change, to include global production and prices.

This Government has committed to the development of Sectoral Adaptation plans to ensure that a coherent and consistent approach to adaptation planning is adopted at national and sectoral scales and draw upon the most up-to-date national approaches to change risk assessment.
The proposed timeline for the delivery of the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine Sectoral Adaptation Plan (SAP) is September 30th, 2025.
